The special feature of Apulia is that we know how to best balance language, art, culture with your holiday, and, after 8 years, we know this is a winning formula.
The complete integration of the student into the region is helped by the numerous activities included with the courses:

The welcome party, based on local gastronomic specialties and Karaoke contests, the guided tour of Lecce, the visits to country fairs, sagre, and especially the warm afternoons at the beach, and finally the farewell party based on foreign recipes and dishes.

In actual fact, the city of Lecce and its region, the Salento, have a heritage of historical, geographical, artistic and natural treasures of Mediterranean Italy that offer the careful visitor a relaxing and ideal atmosphere through light and colors, the seaside and the new and cheerful countryside, the people - hospitable yet discrete, the cuisine - light and varied, natural products.

Visit the interactive picture galleries on these pages where you can see some of our activities.

To learn the language better and to allow the students to broaden their linguistic ability through Italian culture, there is a lending library with about 2000 books and an up-to-date list of video cassettes of Italian films available in the Institute that is home to Apulia.

In the summer months our experienced staff guarantees efficient and professional service; let them prepare excursions and guided tours for you (not included in the cost of the course).

We suggest a visit to Gallipoli, Otranto, Santa Maria di Leuca, the Salento Coast boat excursion, Ostuni and Alberobello, the Castellana Caves, the Safari Park of Fasano, Castel del Monte, The Stones of Matera, the Gargano Peninsula, the Amalfi Coast.

The school has up-to-date information about all the various local events that take place in the city and in the region, such as music and dancing, and on request, an evening in a local discotheque can be arranged.

For information about the cinema, theatre, and anything else, there is a notice board located in the entrance hall to the school.
